Dog Sledding in New Zealand: A Year-Round Adventure
Dreaming of an exhilarating adventure unlike any other? Look no further than Timberline Huskies in Taupō, New Zealand! Here, dog sledding isn’t just a seasonal activity – it's an adventure you can experience all year round. Whether it’s the crisp chill of winter or the warmth of summer, our incredible Siberian Huskies are ready to showcase
their remarkable skills. Witness their power and teamwork firsthand as they pull our specially designed sleds across stunning Central Plateau landscapes.
While snow offers an authentic sledding experience, we also utilise a quadbike during demonstrations. This allows you to experience the excitement of the huskies pulling as a pack, no matter the season. Our unique sled design adapts to the changing seasons. In winter, we seamlessly switch to a snow sled for an exhilarating ride. When the snow melts, a custom-built grass and forest sled takes centre stage, ensuring you can experience the thrill of dog sledding year-round.
Siberian Huskies: Perfectly Adapted for Every Season
These remarkable dogs are nature’s wonder. Their thick double coat provides warmth in winter, while summer sees them shed their undercoat for ultimate comfort. This natural adaptation allows them to thrive in both cold and warm weather conditions, making them perfect for year-round dog sledding adventures.
